My Experience

I've spent tens of thousands of hours in the saddle starting with humble beginnings in my lovely county 4H club. I relinquished my non-pro status at 18 and began traveling between 25-36 weekends a year competing in KHJA, OHJA, AQHA, and assisting with multiple All American Quarter Horse Congress top 10, Reserve and Champion horse and rider combinations. I participated as a demo rider for the Clinicians Corral at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington. In college I remained consumed by my passion and had the privilege to fill the roles of Team Captain, Club President, and qualified for the 2013 IHSA Nationals, walking away with a Top 5 title. After college, I continued to catch ride and work with students wishing to show locally, before being hired to work for an Irish Grand Prix rider in Wellington, Florida for the 2016-2017 Winter Equestrian Festival. Most recently, I lived in Lier, Belgium riding and showing horses for European Sport Horse Imports.

Some of my accomplishments include:

3rd APHA World Championships in Sr. Hunter Hack
5th APHA World Championships in Amateur Hunter Hack
6th APHA World Championships in Sr. Working Hunter
3rd KHJA 2' Medal
10th KHJA 2'6" Medal
The highlight reel is important but first know this:

I've been sharpened and forged by experience and wisdom people have shared with me over the years. I'm in a constant state of curiosity and plan to spend the rest of my life learning as much as I can about this sport. My attitude and the attitude of the people I surround myself with are the type of people that reach with both hands for opportunity. I've learned perspective through experience, beautiful books, passport stamps, good horses, unruly horses, and moments blessed with wonderful people. Like your favorite lyrics, those experiences string together to make a song you can't get out of your head- it strikes an internal bell and that "ah ha" moment just settles in your skin. Horses have always been that song for me.

If I've learned anything in my short time on Earth, it's that when God puts a calling on your life, you can spend as much time as you want denying it, but eventually you pick up. This is me answering that call. This is my leap of courage and faith. I'd love to be a part of yours.
Welcome to Iron Ardour.
